Each Mon Petit Atelier piece is thoughtfully handcrafted using sterling silver, gemstones, crystals, and selected materials. With proper care, your jewellery can be enjoyed beautifully for years to come.

General Care

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your jewellery, we recommend:

  • avoiding contact with water, perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals
  • removing jewellery before swimming, bathing, exercising, or sleeping
  • avoiding excessive exposure to humidity and direct sunlight
  • storing jewellery individually in a dry place when not in use

As each piece is handcrafted, delicate handling is recommended.

Sterling Silver Care

Sterling silver naturally oxidises over time and may develop tarnishing depending on:

  • skin chemistry
  • humidity
  • environmental exposure
  • frequency of wear

This is a natural characteristic of sterling silver and not considered a defect.

To maintain shine:

  • gently polish with the complimentary polishing cloth provided
  • store pieces in an airtight pouch or jewellery box when not in use

Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh polishing products.

Gemstones & Crystals

Certain gemstones and crystals may be more delicate than others.

To help preserve their appearance:

  • avoid dropping or knocking jewellery against hard surfaces
  • avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, perfumes, and chemicals
  • avoid ultrasonic cleaners unless professionally advised

Natural variations in colour, inclusions, and texture are part of the beauty and uniqueness of genuine stones.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

To clean your jewellery:

  1. Gently wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing
  2. For light cleaning, use mild soap with lukewarm water
  3. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before storing

Avoid soaking pieces for prolonged periods, especially designs containing gemstones, crystals, adhesives, or oxidised finishes.

Storage

We recommend storing your jewellery:

  • in the complimentary cloth pouch or gift box provided
  • separately from other jewellery pieces to minimise scratches
  • away from moisture and humidity

Handmade Character

Each handmade piece may contain slight variations in finish, texture, stone appearance, or handcrafted details. These variations are part of the individuality and charm of artisan-made jewellery.
